THE BEGINNING
The „Slavia Backgammon Club„ was founded on 2 June 2002 by a group of dedicated Slavia Sofia supporters, all of whom shared a profound passion for backgammon.

OUR GOALS
* To preserve the traditional tabla for future generations
* To foster the growth of the local modern backgammon community
* To achieve official recognition of backgammon as a sport in Bulgaria
* To host an international backgammon tournament in Sofia
* To introduce backgammon programs in schools and universities
OUR RULES
At „Slavia Backgammon Club“, fair play and respect for opponents and tournament organisers take precedence over winning titles. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy against cheating. A distinctive feature of our traditional tabla championships is that spectators are empowered to pause a match and summon a referee in the event of a rule violation or irregular play.
We are delighted to be the first club to be approved on the "Backgammon Clubs" list.
