In 2015, two of our members competed in international tournaments. From 2016 onwards, modern backgammon was formally introduced as the club’s second official discipline.
Every year, our team organises „Slavia Open“, a free online tournament accessible to players worldwide. Players representing "Slavia Backgammon Club" twice won the title, Jordan Kirchev in 2021 and Bogidar Iliev in 2025.

More and more players from "Slavia Backgammon Club" are embracing modern backgammon and have begun participating in international tournaments.
In 2023, „Slavia Backgammon Club“ organised six domestic tournaments, establishing the first modern backgammon live championship in the club’s history. A total of 25 players took part. Bogidar Iliev and Nikola Milev each claimed two wins, while Rosen Stoyanov and Svilen Todorov secured one tournament victory apiece. Here is the 2023 backgammon championship Top 10:
